On June 7, 2018, the teams of inno TSD and EAI met the technicians and representatives of the Community of Communes of Flandre Intérieure (CCFI), to elaborate the strategy of companies residential mobilities. The meeting took place at the Méteren centre.
The study on the companies residential mobilities of the Community of Communes aims to establish both a territorial diagnosis in terms of economic land tenure, classic and preferential real estate (incubators, business centres) and third-places, regarding the needs of endogenous and exogenous companies in the area.
After a short presentation of the key points of the diagnosis to the technicians and representatives, the challenge of the workshop was to work collectively on a welcoming and support roadmap of companies. The idea was to start from scratch to plan a strategic ambition, by using of educational and playful mobilisation tools.
Indeed, more than just a list of business centers, a residential mobility strategy raised deeper questions such as the support to business creation, attractiveness policies and specialisation on one or more sectors. Thanks to a great mobilisation of technicians and representatives, these elements of the strategy could be discussed and validated during this workshop.
The next step will be to formalise the strategy and prepare its operational implementation, by defining a short, medium and long-term action plan.
